Your wedding planning is going along just fine and you have hired the right vendors to make your wedding a dream come true. What do you do if one of your vendors become ill or God forbid the worse? While making sure you hired the right vendors for the job, did you forget to ask them about their back up plan.
If I know anything about this business, I know things can and do go wrong. I contemplate “what ifs” while working my events. What if the camera malfunctions, what if someone jumps into my critical shot at the last moment, what if there are last minute changes such as lighting, places to stand, decorations, etc.
Those are just a few things that can happen at the event. I wonder about travel conditions, mechanical failures, forgotten equipment. I try to cover every base to make sure my clients day is never compromised. I have a plan in effect in the event I drop dead before leaving for my wedding. My wife knows to go to my desktop contract book, call a network photographer who is always on standby to cover for me at a moments notices. (We hire multiple back ups to the back ups)
It is important that all vendors take care to ensure that the event goes on regardless. The bride and groom have a lot on their mind, they should not have to worry if we are doing our job.
