This beautiful couple renewed their vows at the elaborate Eleven 15 Events. Congratulations Lonnie and Kerry!
Your wedding planning is going along just fine and you have hired the right vendors to make your wedding a dream come true. What do you do if one of your vendors become ill or God forbid the worse? While making sure you hired the right vendors for the job, did you forget to ask them about their back up plan.
If I know anything about this business, I know things can and do go wrong. I contemplate “what ifs” while working my events. What if the camera malfunctions, what if someone jumps into my critical shot at the last moment, what if there are last minute changes such as lighting, places to stand, decorations, etc.
Those are just a few things that can happen at the event. I wonder about travel conditions, mechanical failures, forgotten equipment. I try to cover every base to make sure my clients day is never compromised. I have a plan in effect in the event I drop dead before leaving for my wedding. My wife knows to go to my desktop contract book, call a network photographer who is always on standby to cover for me at a moments notices. (We hire multiple back ups to the back ups)
It is important that all vendors take care to ensure that the event goes on regardless. The bride and groom have a lot on their mind, they should not have to worry if we are doing our job.
I fell in love with this young lady. She was just a darling to work with. She served as the flower girl for Doreatha and Jamison’s wedding at Eleven 15 Events in Suwanee.

I had a blast shooting this couple’s engagement session. The session was held at the beautiful Centennial Olympic Park. The park had a sentimental meaning to this couple. You will see by the images how much they enjoy being with each other. Congratulations Allicia and Darrell.

Weddings are special and should never be treated as anything less. From the time I first meet my bride until the time I deliver her final products, I want to always see the happiness and excitement in her eyes and hear it in her voice.
I spend a great deal of time planning the wedding shoot in my head from the moment she starts telling me what she is looking for. My creativity kicks in and the wedding day journey begins. I rarely focus on the next wedding until I have completed the one in front of me. I am like an artist painting a portrait. I don’t want one subject’s eyes and another subject’s mouth. I want everything I do to reflect the subject at hand.
The bride in the portrait is Tia. She was very particular about what she wanted. We met only once and that was with her coordinator, Barbara Love who hired me. I knew I had to do something special to gain the trust Barbara had already won.
Usually I can do this with the engagement shoot. However Tia and her husband Jobie elected not to have one. I had to win her over on the wedding day. I found the perfect time to make my move, during her make up session. I try to put the bride at ease, make her smile or laugh and just let her know I am here for you. This is your day and only think about your day and your husband.
While we were waiting around for the ceremony to start, the bridesmaids had just finished their glasses of champagne. I lined up each glass on a beautiful table Sharice Bridges (Cafe 267) had designed. After shooting the glasses I asked each bridesmaid to pose for a portrait. No one knew what I had in mind. Finally when it was Tia’s turn, I asked her to pose for me. I still did not get the inspiration until I return to my studio for post production later than night. The design came from my head and it captured how Tia felt on the biggest day of her life.
I have had other brides who have asked for a copy of the same set but Tia’s portrait remains my all time favorite. With so many photographers copying everybody else style, I try to be original and create something special so my bride and groom will know I saw their day as special as they did.
